The other night we played at the historic market town that is Saffron
Walden. Saffron Walden is the only town in the country to be associated
with the precious crop, saffron. Saffron was in great demand for the
woollen industry and brought wealth to the town. (I thought you'd like
to know) Mixed feelings about this gig everyone used my bass amp without
even asking which annoyed me! Then my amp broke during your demise so
I spent most of it "twiddling" with my amp and it didn't cut
out on any other band
Very annoying. It was good as yet again
the Judges ranked us as the best but then lost, as we didn't bring any
friends to vote for us (apart from parents) Rock on
It was quite
a weird venue as it was so posh, it had grand paintings of the queen
and the like and was quite strange.
Forgot to talk about the gig at the Palomino last weds, its was one
to forget about really, 1st band went straight after their set taking
all their fans with them which was annoying. 2nd band 'The Shadow Project"
were really, really good! So we just thought how do we follow this?
Luckily the venue was empty so no one noticed our 'unprofessionalism'
Next day we played at the Fidds again, this time for a band comp it
was an experience. It totally kicked off before we even got on the stage
with a little tension between Berralass and the other band I forgot
the name of
When we got up to do our set we fully expected to
get booed off after the happenings of the night, luckily the venue emptied
for a fight outside so we could just 'thrash' through our set and now
worry about anything. During our set the venue filled up a little and
funnily enough we nearly went through with getting the same points on
judges but losing to the audience. (where have I heard that before)
Then day after it was our prom where we played at went as well as it
could've with everyone being in the party mood then the INDIE ANGST
of Figure of Speech take to the stage to fill everyone at the joyous
occasion not so joyous feelings. Apart from Ghostbusters of course,
that went down well with everybody, Hurrah.
That's it for the summer now (until the rocking beer fest) in this little
break we're going to be working hard in a shed recording and the malarkey.
Hope you all have a good/nice summer.
